â Frequently Asked Questions
The converter doesn't work in my browser. What should I do?
Ensure you're using a modern browser (Chrome 67+, Firefox 60+, Safari 14+, Edge 79+) with WebAssembly support. Try clearing your browser cache, disabling ad blockers temporarily, or switching to an incognito/private window.
Conversion is very slow on my device. How can I speed it up?
Conversion speed depends on your device's processing power. Close other browser tabs and applications to free up resources. For large batches, try converting smaller groups of files. Newer devices with more RAM will process files faster.
I get an 'unsupported file format' error. What formats do you accept?
We support HEIC and HEIF files (common from iPhones and modern cameras). The file extension should be .heic, .HEIC, .heif, or .HEIF. If your file has a different extension but is actually HEIC/HEIF, try renaming it.
The converted image quality looks poor. How can I improve it?
Adjust the quality slider in settings - we recommend 85% for best balance. Ensure 'Preserve EXIF' is enabled if you want to keep original metadata. For web use, 75-85% quality usually provides the best file size vs quality ratio.
Can I convert files larger than 100MB?
Yes, our converter can handle very large files, but your browser's memory is the limiting factor. Close other tabs and try converting large files one at a time. If you consistently work with very large files, consider using a device with more RAM.
